“Wallonia’s Zero Long-Term Unemployment Project: Creating Local Jobs and Improving Communities”

Wallonia, inspired by the French experience born in 2016, retained 17 of the 19 applications. The objective: in the selected areas, develop projects responding to unmet local needs and making it possible to hire people who have been unemployed for two years.

LThe project was expected. Since its inclusion in the declaration of regional policy, at the beginning of the legislature. The Zero Long-Term Unemployed Territories (TZCLD) project has just taken an important step, with the formalization of the 17 projects selected by the Walloon Minister of Employment. These should eventually enable 750 job seekers to get back to work. The realization of a similar experience in Brussels is also expected.
