Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower on Tuesday following a strong rally in the previous session as weak expectations from companies such as Snapchat owner Snap Inc added to tension over the inflation-hit economy.
The industrial index fell 162.63 points, or 0.51 percent, to 31717.61 points.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 index opened down 30.81 points, or 0.78 percent, to 3,942.94 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 208.83 points, or 1.81 percent, to 11,326.44 points.
