Wall Street’s main indexes rose on Monday after strong jobs data last week allayed fears of an economic slowdown.
But investors remained cautious, as this data also increased expectations that the US Federal Reserve would tighten its monetary policy further.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.23%, or 73.89 points, to 32,877.36 points, and the Standard & Poor’s 500 increased by 10.74 points, or 0.26%, to 4155.93.
The Nasdaq Composite Index was no less fortunate than its predecessors; It also rose 0.36% by 46.17 points to the level of 12703.72 points.
