(Archyde.com) – Wall Street’s major indices closed higher on Friday, boosted by reports that despite more-than-expected jobs in the United States, wage increases slowed and service activity contracted, easing concerns regarding the path of the Federal Reserve’s rate hikes.
According to preliminary data, the index closed up 86.34 points, or 2.27 percent, to 3,894.44 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index increased 259.71 points, or 2.52 percent, to 10,564.95 points. The industrial index rose 694.21 points, or 2.11 percent, to 33,624.29 points.
