(Archyde.com) – The New York Stock Exchange ended lower on Wednesday at the end of a seesaw session following the publication of the minutes of the last monetary policy committee of the Fed.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell -0.1%, or 28.34 points, to 29,210.85 points.

The broader S&P-500 fell 0.3%, 11.81 points, to 3,577.03

The Nasdaq Composite fell for its part by 9.09 points (-0.09%) to 10,417.10 points.

On the oil market, WTI stood at $87.02 (-2.60%) and Brent at $92.34 (-2.06%).

The FOMC “minutes” showed that, as expected, Fed officials were much more concerned regarding the risks associated with inflation than regarding the repercussions of the tightening of monetary policy on employment.

“Everyone now understands that the Fed is going to continue. The question for the market is when will the transition from [les hausses de] 75 to 50 basis points and 25,” said Quincy Krosby of LPL Financial in Charlotte.

The dollar was up 0.07% once morest a basket of currencies a few minutes following the close of Wall Street, while the euro stood at 0.9699 dollars (-0.04%).

On the bond market, ten-year paper [US10YT=RR] fell -4.1 basis points to settle at 3.8982%. His five-year-old counterpart [US10YT=RR]fell -5.5 basis points to 4.1124%.
