Walid Suleiman: Ramadan Sobhi’s return to Al-Ahly is a “red line”

Walid Suleiman, captain of the first team in Al-Ahly club, expressed his dissatisfaction with the decision taken by Ramadan Sobhi, the current Pyramids player, to leave the Red Castle, noting that his return has become very difficult.

Soliman said in statements on MBC Egypt: “I grieved for Ramadan Sobhi. He made a decision that was not correct from my point of view. He is a very good player and he is still young and the future is still ahead of him.”

He added, “The club was preparing Ramadan Sobhi to be (a great need) and a legend from Al-Ahly’s legends, especially since his age is still young, and he was starting to make history and a balance, but he (hurried) and made a decision that I see as wrong.”

And regarding the possibility of Ramadan Sobhi returning to Al-Ahly, Suleiman said: “A decision like that is very difficult in Al-Ahly Club, there are constants that do not change and no one can talk regarding these matters, (even if someone inside him wants to be unable to say so-and-so returns … there are needs in the club.” red lines remain).

Ramadan Sobhi had rejected his permanent transfer to Al-Ahly from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2020, preferring to move to Pyramids in one of the largest financial deals in Egyptian football.
