Regarding the candidacy of the Armed Forces Commander for the presidency, he said: “The nomination of the army commander to the presidency requires a constitutional amendment, and if he wants to be a candidate, he must change his military uniform to a civilian one.”
Jumblatt asserted that the problem is between Gebran Bassil and Samir Geagea, as they are the ones who place “fatwas” on the candidates, and with the two who want something else, and when Geagea and Bassil agreed, they brought Michel Aoun to the presidency.
He said, “Without the democratic meeting, there is a parliamentary majority, and we can vote as a blank card and rest.”
Jumblatt was asked regarding the Lebanese-Syrian relationship, and he said: “I am afraid of whitewashing the face with Syria, because who is at the level to discuss the issue of the displaced.”
