The Easter holidays mark the end of the winter season for leisure parks in Belgium. Overview.
Even if the sky has reserved for us a weather worthy of the Christmas holidays, this Friday is the start of the Easter holidays. And if spring is shy, now is the time to think regarding outdoor activities. Leisure, animal and amusement parks resume 100% service this Saturday, with an ever wider offer. Because we no longer speak today of half a day or a day to do and redo the same attractions. To take full advantage of the parks, you often have to take two days, especially if you take into account the various water parks available or planned, as is the case in Mechelen, for the Plopsa group, for example.
To enjoy it longer, hotels are also growing in the middle of the parks. Two resorts have opened in Pairi Daiza since 2019, and a third is planned for the coming years. Plopsaland De Panne also opened its hotel during the health crisis, the opportunity to better enjoy the atmosphere, and to combine the stay with a visit to the Belgian coast. It should also be remembered that if Easter remains the traditional time to reopen the parks, the opening windows are getting longer and longer. Plopsaland De Panne thus opens all winter, at reduced hours, just like Pairi Daiza. In Walibi, this will be the case for winter 2023-2024.
