Renowned actress Waheeda Rahman has been honored with the Dadasahib Phalke Award for Lifelong Contribution to the Film Industry. The announcement of the award was made by the Minister of Communications Anurag Thakur. Waheeda is a talent who is widely acclaimed for her acting skills in films like Guide, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam. Waheeda Rehman won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1972 and Padma Bhushan in 2011.
Waheeda Rahman has won critical acclaim for her performances in films like Pyaasa, Kagas Ke Phool, Chaudhavi Ka Chand, Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam, Guide, Khamoshi and many more.
