Wafaa Mousalli: My operation was an “open heart” and not a “gastrectomy” (photos)

After the many rumors that spread on social media, which promoted that she underwent a “stomach sleeve,” the Syrian actress, Wafaa Mousalli, revealed the main reason behind her losing a lot of weight, saying: “My heart failed me.”

The Syrian actress, who became famous for many dramas, especially “Bab Al-Hara”, confirmed that her great weight loss was the result of her “open heart” operation a short time ago, and not as some claimed that she underwent an operation to lose weight.

Mousalli added in an interview with ET in Arabic: “Thank you for your interest and what it was, but sweet feelings come to me and bad feelings, unfortunately, I did not look forward and saw what he was talking regarding, but I told you this evidence.”

The Syrian actress also revealed part of her chest, to show people the effects of the open heart operation, which was evident through the “wound” that it had been performed a short time ago.

Mosuli also confirmed that she did not tell anyone regarding the operation, and said: “I took it upon myself not to tell anyone, specifically my daughter, Naya, who works in an engineering office in Dubai, first for her psychological condition, and secondly so that her work is not affected.”

And that following the operation, she begged people not to publish any pictures of her, out of respect for her daughter, because she did not want to see her in a way she was not used to.

As for the reason for the open-heart surgery, she said: “I had been suffering for several years from problems in my heart, and all the treatments were like temporary make-up, but one of the doctors asked me a question that amazed me, which was did I suffer from rheumatism when I was young, whether in the foot or the heart, and I replied that I removed Tonsils when I was young, and then rheumatism reached the knees and the heart.

And she added that the doctor assured her that rheumatism in the heart is the cause of her illness, because it relapses once more following the age of “forty”, and for this reason she reached the stage of performing a surgical operation on the heart valve, adding that “her heart failed her.”

Wafa Mousalli is considered one of the most prominent Syrian artists, and she has achieved wide fame in the Arab world, thanks to her participation in many successful TV dramas.
