“Wadih’s gone, Umm Wadih”

Sadness still looms, and a great shock fell on the Syrian artist, George Wassouf, following the death of his son Wadih, where the pioneers of social networking sites transmitted a video clip that monitored a touching moment between the Syrian artist and his ex-wife, Shalimar Shibli, during the condolence before the funeral and burial of their son Wadih, who passed away on Friday.

In Bak’s voice, all affected and broken, Wassouf said to Shalimar: “The dear one is gone, he is gone. Wadih is gone, O mother of Wadih (..)”, and his wife replies emotionally during the funeral in the Church of St. Nicholas in Ashrafieh: “Oh beloved, or Wadih.”

Other video clips also showed that the artist collapsed in tears while accepting condolences for the death of his son, and Wassouf appeared shouting “Uh” and repeating the word “Rah” when accepting condolences for the death of his son from the Lebanese singer and composer Ziad Burji.

The “Sultan of Tarab” George Wassouf was afflicted, at dawn on Saturday, by the death of his son Wadih, as a result of the repercussions of gastric sleeve surgery, as it was supposed to be a simple surgery, but “the winds come with what ships do not desire,” and the surgery caused the death of the young Wadih, who was described by his bereaved father. The news of the death came hours following the family announced that the late young man had been transferred to a hospital in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in critical condition, following the gastric sleeve operation that he had undergone more than a week ago.

Social media erupted in grief following the death was announced, and a large number of late celebrities lamented.

And the pioneers of the communication sites re-circulated a video clip of the Syrian singer George Wassouf talking regarding his late son Wadih long before his death, where “Sultan Al-Tarab” said in the meeting: “This is the tear of my eyes, this is the beloved of the heart from the inside .. This is nostalgia, follow me, this is the precious and meek. I am Abu Wadih.

It is noteworthy that the last appearances of the Syrian artist, George Wassouf, were on the occasion of the New Year’s Eve, when the owner of “My Soul, Nesma” performed a huge concert entitled Trio Night, along with many music stars from the Arab world, as part of the activities of the Riyadh entertainment season.

The great stars of Lebanese art gathered at Wassouf’s place of residence to perform the duty of condolence, and Wassouf announced on his official Twitter page the date of the final farewell to his eldest son, Wadih.

And it was stated in the post, “He celebrates the prayer to rest himself before noon on Sunday, January 8, in Ashrafieh, then his body is transferred to his hometown in Kafroun, where he will be buried in the family cemetery.”

And in the last post, Wadih George Wassouf posted on Instagram a picture of him with his father on his last birthday.
