Volkswagen is expecting around 6,000 “Bullis” and their owners, as well as ten times as many visitors, at the big VW Bus Festival. It takes place from June 23rd to 25th in Hanover, where the commercial vehicle plant is located. Advance sales for day tickets start on Thursday at 10 a.m. There is an early bird discount for part of the contingent.

Adults can buy a ticket online from ten euros, children and young people between the ages of six and 17 pay five euros (www.vw-bus-festival-2023.de). On the main day, Saturday, admission for adults costs 15 euros. All tickets are also valid as bus and train tickets on the day of the event.

The program on the festival grounds begins on Friday followingnoon. A large Bulli convoy starts at the plant in Hanover-Stöcken and drives through the city center to the exhibition center. In the evening, the film “BULLILOVEstories”, previously known as a social media format, will be shown on the big screen as a road movie. In the film, numerous Bulli owners tell their very personal VW bus stories. To do this, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles covered more than 45,000 kilometers in 28 countries with an ID Buzz.

Lots of other activities and concerts will take place until Sunday followingnoon and special vehicles will be awarded on the big show stage. Of course, Volkswagen will also present some vehicles from its collection. These include a T1 with track drive and the T2 with camping extension from rock legend Pete Townshend. The guitarist performed with his band “The Who” in 2007 at the first big Bulli meeting in Hanover. (awm)
