St. Pölten (OTS) – “It is simply incomprehensible to me how Justice Minister Zadic can continue to watch as commuters are taken hostage by the chaos of climate glue. State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner pointed out in an open letter months ago that there must be stricter penalties for climate adhesives that paralyze commuter traffic and, in the worst case, even block emergency vehicles – everything was already there. It has now gotten to the point where prominent Green Party politicians are distancing themselves from these climate chaos. It is high time to realize that without stricter punishments it simply won’t work to keep these slobs off our streets. The fact is: It cannot be the case that commuters who drive to work or bring their children to school – who keep our country running – are hindered by such actions,” said VPNÖ state manager BR Matthias Zauner.

“When it comes to criticizing the punishments for these chaotic people, I would like to remind you that the responsible minister, Zadic, was asked several times to finally take action. Stricter laws are simply needed – and the Ministry of Justice is responsible for that. So if the FPÖ wants to criticize inaction, then they should do it in the right places,” Zauner concluded.
