Now true words must be followed by consistent actions
St. Pölten (OTS) – “Almost 3 out of 4 eligible voters are in favor of punishing climate glue for their chaos actions. State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner has contacted Justice Minister Zadić several times and called for harsher punishments – but the Green Justice Minister is still inactive. Now even the Green Transport Minister has realized that the climate chaotic people are in no way making a positive contribution to climate protection, quite the opposite. It’s better that the realization comes late that the radical climate glue has gone hopelessly over the top with their actions – than it never comes. And when even Gewessler, with her NGO past, calls on the chaotic people to show moderation, that really means something. Now the true words must also be followed by consistent actions. Only with good persuasion will the climate concreters not be dissuaded from further disruptive actions. This requires harsher penalties that have a deterrent effect. And Gewessler’s party colleague, Justice Minister Zadić, must finally implement this,” said VPNÖ state manager BR Matthias Zauner.
“In the “Kurier” article, Minister Gewessler also says “the goal of climate protection in a parliamentary democracy is to find majorities.” I can only say one thing regarding this: the goal is to find a majority in all matters. However, decisions made should also be implemented. If Federal Minister Gewessler is serious regarding parliamentary democracy, it would be high time to finally tackle the road construction projects she has blocked, such as the Lobautunnel, the S1 and S8. Because these roads would massively relieve the burden on Lower Austrians – provided Federal Minister Zadić finally tightens up the penalties and the roads are not blocked by climate chaotic people,” Zauner concluded.
