Against terrorism and hatred in Vienna and the world
Vienna (OTS) – “My thoughts today are with the many victims of the attack by the terrorist organization Hamas,” said the regional party chairman of the Vienna People’s Party, city councilor Karl Mahrer. The Vienna People’s Party stands clearly and in solidarity with Israel.
“It was important to me and the other participants to send a unified signal for Israel as part of today’s memorial event at Ballhausplatz,” continued Mahrer. Today’s rally showed that Austrian society is aware of its historical responsibility.
Parallel societies in the middle of Vienna
The first images and reports of the banned vigil for Palestine are to be condemned. “The aggressiveness against the police and security forces shows an alarming picture. These are obviously groups that sympathize with Hamas’ terrorist acts, right in the middle of Vienna. We speak out clearly against Muslim anti-Semitism!” Mahrer concluded.
