SPÖ loses itself in self-occupation – Viennese SPÖ has to take care of people’s concerns

Vienna (OTS) The result of the member survey confirms the political division of the SPÖ. The decision has apparently been moved to the party conference – the chaos days in the SPÖ continue. Candidate Andreas Babler had already announced before the end of the survey that he would stand as a candidate at the party conference even if the result was close. It is questionable who can still lead a divided and divided SPÖ. The officials have to face this decision on June 3rd.

The effects in Vienna have long been noticeable. While the SPÖ is busy with internal party leadership issues, the Viennese population suffers from the consequences of inflation and the failure of education and integration.

One thing is clear: a party that has only been concerned with itself in recent months is not and cannot be able to govern.

“The member survey revealed the inner turmoil of the SPÖ. The Viennese SPÖ must take care of the concerns of the people in Vienna instead of diving into party internals. Furthermore, the question arises as to whether the Viennese state organization has completely lost its former influence or whether a fourth candidate will be brought into play following all,” concludes VP state party chairman Karl Mahrer.
