In view of the “thriving drug trade” in the protection zone around the Krempl high-rise (the OÖN have reported), the Linz People’s Party is calling for increased video surveillance in this area. From their point of view, the model is the successful video surveillance in Badgasse since 2021. This is a proven means of curbing crime and improving security in heavily affected areas.
City should finance cameras
The People’s Party is emphasizing its demand with a local council proposal that the city of Linz (FP Security Councilor Michael Raml is responsible) should purchase such devices and donate them to the police.
