The National Election Commission calculated the voter turnout by adding up the turnout from early voting and residence voting starting at 1pm.
The early voting turnout held from the 27th to the 28th of last month was 21.76%, which was 1.22 percentage points higher than the advance turnout rate (20.54%) at the time of the April 7th Seoul and Busan mayor re-election last year.
The parliamentary by-election this time will be held in Suseong, Daegu, Gyeyang-eul, Incheon, Bundangap, Seongnam, Wonjugap, Gangwon, Boryeong and Seocheon, Chungnam, Uichang-gu, Changwon-si, Jeju-eul, and Jeju-eul.
By constituency, Boryeong and Seocheon, Chungcheongnam-do had the highest turnout at 50.9%.
It was followed by Bundangap, Seongnam, Gyeonggi (45.6%), Gyeyang-eul, Incheon (45.5%), Jeju-eul (43%), Wonju-gap, Gangwon (39.3%), and Uichang, Changwon, Gyeongnam (36.8%).
The constituency with the lowest voter turnout was Daegu Suseong (33.4%).
