Half-originating from Lusika Achaia, Spyros Karanikolas entered the race for the European elections, being one of the 42 candidates of New Democracy. With academic studies in European Law and professional experience as a legal advisor to the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he started his political journey from Fofi Gennimata’s PASOK and in the 2023 national elections, by decision of the party president Kyriakos Mitsotakis, He was declared a candidate for State Parliament of the New Democracy.
Spyros Karanikolas is one of the ND MEP candidates and yesterday Thursday 04/18/2024 found in Patras, where he had contacts in the context of his election campaign. Hosted in the studio of Peloponnisos FM 104.4 where he emphasized, among other things, that if the citizens trust him, he is committed to fight for the country on the very difficult and critical fronts of Brussels, defending national interests and not arguing, undermining and slandering the country, as Greek MEPs of the opposition are unfortunately doing.
Spyros Karanikolas also emphasized that citizens must understand that in these European elections, they don’t vote to protest. They vote to choose a team that will defend national interests in Brussels. And that team has to be the ND. And, secondly, we choose people who have knowledge, experience, ability, dynamics and determination, to fight for Greece and the Greek citizens.
Mr. Karanikolas had a meeting with the regional governor of Western Greece Nektario Farmakisand with the candidate president of the Chamber of Achaia and head of the combination “Chamber Protagonist”, Theodoros Louloudis.
