Vortex Energy appoints Ana Perez Caminero as Chief Operating Officer

Caminero has extensive experience in the field of renewable energy that enables it to support “Vortex Energy” in the process of development and operational excellence pursued by the company in order to achieve global growth.

Vortex Energy, Europe’s leading renewable energy investment company managed by the private equity arm of EFG Hermes, has appointed Ana Perez Caminero as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and member of the Investment Committee.

In particular, Caminero will handle operations and asset management at Vortex Energy, where she will be responsible for the activities related to the subsidiaries of its investment portfolio, and on the other hand, manage the day-to-day operations of Vortex Energy by harnessing her expertise and extensive technical capabilities to raise the level of operational efficiency and enhance performance. Caminero will assist the investment team in researching new investment opportunities and conducting the necessary technical and operational assessments to enhance value to ensure increased returns for the company and shareholders alike. Caminero will work in her new position under the management of the CEO of «Vortex Energy» Karim Moussa, who is also the head of the private investment and asset management sectors at EFG Hermes.

Caminero joins the company with extensive experience gained over 20 years, covering a range of sectors including renewable energy, power generation and gas. She has previously worked in various leadership positions in the public and private sectors in Europe. She also held several senior positions in the Spanish company Nature, which she has worked for since 2009, where she was promoted to senior positions in various business sectors, including strategy development, as well as overseeing expansion plans aimed at enhancing the company’s access to the US market from During the acquisition of platforms for the development of solar energy projects. During her time with the company, Caminero has overseen projects valued at approximately 200 million euros and a team of more than 200 employees.
