The Swedish automaker Volvo has disconnected Russian car owners from its software. The information was confirmed by the relevant dealership.

“Volvo has disconnected Russian dealers from the software,” reports the business publication BFM.ru. The authors of the material contacted the Volvo dealership in the Russian Federation. There, journalists were told that the software stopped working on September 25th. At the same time, there were no official communications from the concern.

The authors also contacted one of the Volvo car owners. He said that some of the functions continue to work. For example, it is still possible to open and close car doors through the official application.

In August it became known that the software had also been disabled BMW and Audi. Mercedes-Benz also disconnected Russian dealers from official support, writes VSE42. Due to anti-Russian sanctions, foreign cars are imported into Russia by parallel import. As a result, prices for these cars are rising. However, not all automakers left the country, reports TV channel 360. That left Kia and Hyundai.
