As a volunteer, you carry out activities that correspond to your interests, your preferences and your availability. Some can even be made from home!

You welcome the person and facilitate their adaptation.

Orientation in CIUSSS facilities

You guide and support people in establishments. For example, you greet them at the entrance and direct them to their appointment.

Activity with a speaker

You help a speaker in a clinical, sporting or artistic activity, for a single person or a group.

Activity according to your skills

You use your know-how: homework help, reading, arts teaching, musical performance, technological support, video games, etc.

Stimulation in rehabilitation

You encourage and support people in their exercise program to regain their independence.

Annual activities and special projects

You participate in activities or projects that improve the health and well-being of the population. For example, you help with a vaccination campaign, you put up Christmas decorations, you carry out a survey, etc.

Group socio-educational activity

You help speakers during activities such as bingo, yoga, pet therapy, drawing with children, crafts, cooking, etc.

Thematic and festive activity

You accompany a group of people on an outing, for example a visit to a sugar shack or a museum.

Spiritual care

You help the spiritual care worker or the priest, for example to prepare the altar or accompany them during meditation sessions.

Friendly visit

You are visiting a hospitalized or housed person. You listen to her, you comfort her, you talk with her, you carry out individual activities according to her preferences, etc.

Unit or department visit

You participate in board games, you watch films and, generally, you keep company with the people who stay in an internal unit or department.
