Nearly fifteen hours of journey to reach Brest from Figari, in Corsica… This is the misadventure experienced this Saturday by Morlaisian Rozenn Premel, who was traveling with the low-cost airline Volotea. “We arrived at 5 a.m. Saturday morning at Figari airport to take a flight to Brest at 7:50 a.m. After 45 minutes, the airport staff asked us to come out. The company sent us an initial SMS, telling us that they would keep us informed. There were disabled people and parents with babies, she says. After almost three hours of waiting, an SMS informed us that we were finally going to fly to Bordeaux due to bad weather conditions. »
No information, no water, no food
Disabled passengers and those accompanied by babies finally took a plane to Nantes, before being transported to Brest by bus. The others took a flight to Bordeaux. “Inside, I was mad with rage. Only the cabin crew spoke to us. And at no time of the day were we given anything to eat or drink,” Rozenn annoys. In Bordeaux, four coaches were waiting for passengers to take them to their destination, “buses without wi-fi and with rudimentary comfort”. Rozenn finally arrived in Brest at 10:45 p.m., almost fifteen hours following leaving Figari. “I paid €530 for my ticket and I hope to be reimbursed,” complains the Morlaisian. Contacted this Sunday, the Volotea company did not answer our questions and gave no additional explanation to passengers.
