Volodymyr Zelensky’s European tour continues. After Germany, the Ukrainian president arrived in France on Friday February 16 late in the followingnoon. The Ukrainian head of state must meet Emmanuel Macron at the Elysée in order to sign a bilateral security agreement. Meeting in Berlin. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a security agreement between their two countries in Berlin to guarantee lasting support for Ukraine, particularly on the military level. This agreement covers “security commitments and long-term support” of Ukraine, the German Chancellery announced earlier.

The fighting rages. The Ukrainian army claims to have reinforced its troops which “hold on” in the town of Avdiïvka, in the east of the country, where fighting is raging with Russian forces. “The Ukrainian defenders continue to repel the enemy who is trying to surround Avdiivka”the Ukrainian army said on social networks, as Russian troops have advanced in recent days.

The White House is concerned regarding an anti-satellite weapon developed by Russia. The United States considers that this is an element “worrisome”, which does not, however, represent “an immediate threat.” American media have assured that Russia intends to place a nuclear weapon in space once morest satellites.
