Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a speech on Monday, April 17, that preparations are being made for a new meeting in the Ramstein format, he expects that “fundamental decisions” will be taken during the meeting, writes news.ro. According to him, every delay in the delivery of weapons means loss of life for the Ukrainian army.
“We are already preparing for another Ramstein meeting. And we expect thorough decisions that respond to the perspectives on the battlefield. Quite ambitious perspectives, which we approach with all our might. Moreover, we address them not only for us, not only for Ukraine, but also for our entire anti-war coalition,” said the leader from Kyiv.
“The aggressor must lose. And this is our shared responsibility with our partners – to buy more time for peace, that is, to be as active as possible now in providing arms and ammunition to hasten our common victory. I signed the decree regarding the awarding of decorations to our soldiers. 127 soldiers of the Armed Forces… 68 of them – posthumous”, added the Ukrainian president.
It is very important to understand this: every time we hear that the promised supply of weapons is delayed, every time there are doubts regarding the type of weapons for Ukraine, their range or other characteristics – every time it means that Ukrainian soldiers give their lives so that we have this time… the time to convince that the supply of the necessary weapons must take place following all. Every enemy eliminated now is a meter of Ukrainian land freed tomorrow.
Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine:
The Ukrainian leader once more recalls the attack in Sloviansk
On Monday, the Ukrainian leader thanked all those who participated in the search operations in Sloviansk, following the Russian missile attack on a block of flats, which left at least 15 dead and 24 wounded among civilians.
“Yesterday, a search and rescue operation ended in Sloviansk following Russian terrorists attacked residential buildings. I want to mention our people who, together with their colleagues on the ground, did their best… Despite the threat of repeated attacks and despite all the difficulties, they did their best to save as many lives as possible. (…) We thank everyone from the great team of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine who work for people!” said Volodymyr Zelensky.
