Zelensky’s decree on the dismissal of Oleh Hulyak appeared on the president’s website on February 29. At the same time, it was published on the website the decree on the appointment of Karpenko.

What is known regarding Volodymyr Karpenko
Volodymyr Volodymyrovych Karpenko is a Ukrainian military serviceman, brigadier general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2021, he held the post of logistics commander of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is known that Karpenko has several awards, including the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky II degree and the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to the military oath.
Personnel changes in the Armed Forces
- We will remind, on February 11, Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Oleksandr Pavlyuk as the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- Instead, Yuriy Sodol was appointed as the commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces.
- Ihor Skybyuk became the new commander of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
- And Ihor Plahuta became the commander of the Territorial Defense Forces.
- Also, on February 9, a new chief of the General Staff was appointed – he became Major General Anatoliy Bargylevych. Instead, Brigadier Generals Volodymyr Horbatyuk, Oleksiy Shevchenko and Mykhailo Drapaty became his deputies.
