The Swiss men’s volleyball team will have to deal without captain Jovan Djokic during the Euro qualifiers in August. The winger suffered a serious foot injury during the preparation phase.
Jovan Djokic, who will return to Chênois Genève Volleyball this season following an experience in Milan in one of the best leagues in the world, has dislocated an ankle, which had to be put back in place in the hospital. The duration of his unavailability is not yet known.
“After this serious injury to Jovan, we are all still in shock.said Mario Motta, coach of the national team. We all sympathize with him and he will be missed on and off the pitch. Even though it’s difficult for all of us, we still have to keep going!”
Coach Mario Motta will decide in the next few days who will lead the team as captain instead of Djokic.
