Volleyball: Gruissanaise Héléna Cazaute flies to Italy

Best player in the Women’s League A this season, the Gruissanaise Héléna Cazaute has just signed up for the prestigious Italian championship, with the Chieri club.

Hardly had she savored her cup-championship double that the young Gruissanaise Héléna Cazaute, named best player (MVP) of the Women’s League A 2020-2021, announced her departure for Italy. His confessed dream! Cazaute has indeed signed in Chieri, in the Turin region, 4th in the Ligua A1 this season.

Before living his first experience abroad, Cazaute – who left a touching message for the Mulhouse club (see below) – plays the qualifications for the Euro with France, once morest Israel, Hungary and Denmark, in Belfort (May 7-9) and Budapest (May 14-16). The 1st and 2nd will go to the Euro in August. Among the three passers of the Bleues is also the Lézignanaise, also from Gruissan, Margaux Bouzinac.

With all the class that characterizes her, Helena Cazaute therefore expressed herself before her departure with touching words that matched her talent: “It is with a heavy heart that I leave the large Mulhouse family for a new adventure. Today I thank you for everything, for the trust you have given me, for having made me grow to realize my dream: to evolve in the Italian championship. I thank all the leaders of the club and the staff who have always accompanied me with great professionalism and humanity. Thank you to my teammates for these two seasons, it was a real pleasure to have shared these emotions by your side. Thank you also to the unfailing support of supporters, partners and the city of Mulhouse who, despite the health situation, have always surrounded, supported and encouraged us. A big thank you to the volunteers who provide exceptional work throughout the year, always with a smile and a good mood, so that we are in the best possible conditions. I will obviously continue to follow the results of the ASPTTM very closely and sincerely hope that many trophies will be added to the collection. I am going to fulfill my dream and hope to return to the Palais des Sports floor one day. Closing my Mulhouse experience with this double is for me the greatest reward for our team and this club which deserve it so much. And I will end with a few words for Oli, volunteer, fervent supporter, and above all friend… We miss you, we hope that from up there you are proud of us. These two titles are dedicated to you! Mulhouse will forever remain etched in my heart. Take care, I will miss you! »
