Volleyball: good reaction from Switzerland against Norway – rts.ch

The Swiss women’s team picked up its first success in qualifying for the Euro on Wednesday. Captain Laura Künzler and her teammates clearly dominated Norway (3-0) at Schönenwerd on the second day, as expected.

Logically beaten 3-0 by Greece, favorite of the group, at the start of these qualifiers, the Swiss had the expected reaction for their first home match. They flew over the debates in the first two sets (25-10 and 25-9), before lowering their guard somewhat in the third set (25-21).

Facing Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday

Coach Lauren Bertolacci had little to fear from Norway, the weakest opponent in Pool F. She can rejoice in the excellent form displayed by her two best players, Laura Künzler and the “star” Maja Storck, who scored 17 and 16 points respectively in that game.

The task of the Swiss, who were able to count on the support of some 750 spectators, looks more delicate on Saturday during the 3rd day. They will go to Sarajevo to challenge Bosnia and Herzegovina, which they will most likely have to beat to win their ticket for the Euro.
