Andrea Zorzi e Giuseppe Panini have been inducted into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame. The important recognition was awarded by International Volleyball Hall of Fame (IVHF). Andrea Zorzi was awarded for the category “Indoor Maschile”. Zorzi was already part of the Italian Hall Of Fame since 2016, in 2023 he officially became an Ambassador of the Italian Volleyball Federation, now comes another prestigious recognition for his extraordinary career: he won silver at the 1996 Atlanta Olympicsas well as two gold medals at 1990 World Cup in Rio et al World Cup 1994 in Athens. Giuseppe Panini instead it was placed in the category “leader”as a prominent managerial figure on the national scene: he was the founder of Panini Modena, as well as the creator and creator of the most famous sports cards in Italy.

Andrea Zorzi told Sky Sport 24 about the emotion of being included in the International Volleyball Hall of Fame: “A very emotional ceremony, I am very happy to be part of the International Volleyball Hall of Fame. On stage I talked about my beginnings, I started playing volleyball not so much because I was strong, but because I was very tall and because I had a great desire to try. It is yet another confirmation that our team was made up of great athletes, it was very exciting to be awarded in front of my wife and son. The idea of solidity has helped me a lot in my life, that’s what I would like to pass on to my family. This award is a great honorI’m happy with what I’ve accomplished in the past, many friends have sent me messages to congratulate.”
