Good news for anyone looking to buy one Volkswagen Taos to have in your garage. After all, the company implemented a reduction in the price of the car by an amount that exceeds the R$ 6 mil. This number, in fact, is the decrease in the most advanced version of the vehicle, the Highlinewhich fell from R$212,480 to R$ 205.980.
The version Comfortline, also known as the entry-level variant of the model, is also cheaper. Its previous price was R$186,280 and is now sold on the automaker’s website for R$ 181.380, a reduction of R$4,900. This move by the company suggests that it wants to increase Taos sales.
In the current market, the model faces competition from brands such as BYD and GWM, which offer medium SUV options with similar prices and even larger sizes. The Song Plus and Haval H6 cars are examples of this. Even so, it is worth remembering that Taos was around R$6,000 more expensive last year, so this initiative ends up offsetting the previous increase.
In its technical sheet, the Volskwagen Taos comes with a 1.4 turbo 250 TSI engine with a power of 150 hp and a torque of 25.5 kgfm and this configuration is present in both variants. Likewise, the versions come with a six-speed automatic transmission and other attributes such as a 10.1-inch multimedia center, which supports Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.
As for standard items, the entry-level version comes with air conditioning. Climate dual-zone and rear-seat-facing USB-C ports. The Highline variant, in turn, comes with adaptive cruise control, parking assistant, multifunction cameras, dynamic cornering lights and a 10.25” digital instrument panel.
