“Gazeta.Ru”: official sales of Jetta VA3 cars have been launched in the Russian Federation
In November, official sales of Jetta VA3 cars will start in Russia, reported the joint press service of the Avtodom and AutoSpetsTsentr companies. In the fall, a dealer agreement was signed with FAW for the distribution of the Jetta VA3 model.
This car is produced at the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture in China, and its platform is identical to the Skoda Rapid and the first generation Volkswagen Polo models, Gazeta writes.
According to representatives of the dealership, although FAW bought the Jetta brand, it decided not to change the name, as it has successfully established itself in the European market.
The price of Jetta VA3 starts from 1.8 million rubles. The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 112 hp, available with a manual transmission or a six-speed Aisin automatic transmission. Similar transmissions were installed on Volkswagen Polo and Skoda Rapid previously released in Russia. Options include an anti-theft system and a multimedia system with four speakers.
