Electric MPV Volkswagen ID. Buzz already has an extended version, seven seats, all-wheel drive and a sport-oriented GTX version. Now the menu expands downwards, i.e. to the basic variant. It is labeled ID. Buzz Pure and costs just over a million.
Such a car naturally has its own specifics. An electric motor with a power of 170 hp is stored between the rear wheels. The basic price tag was pushed down mainly thanks to the smaller battery, which has a capacity of 59 kWh and the tables promise a range of 330 kilometers. You can charge it with the highest power of up to 165 kW.
Standard equipment includes automatic air conditioning, folding tables for passengers in the back, LED lights at both ends of the body and, of course, an army of safety and assistance systems. Volkswagen charges CZK 1,049,000 including VAT for a piece equipped in this way with the specified parameters, i.e. at least for a personal version of the “bus” since its launch.

Basic ID. Buzz is now worth just over a million.
The commercial version, which you can buy with all-wheel drive for the first time, also announces a big news. The four-wheeler consists of two electric motors with a power of 340 horsepower (yes, the same technology as the ID. Buzz GTX) and a battery with a capacity of 79 kWh promises a range of up to 432 kilometers. You can choose a variant with two or three seats, and you can hitch a braked trailer with a weight of up to 1.8 tons to the electric van, which is six hundred kilos more than the rear wheel drive sold so far can handle.

The utility vehicle has also improved, the new four-wheeler starts at CZK 1,099,000.
“Just like the traditional Transporter, the electric ID. Buzz is gradually growing into a branched family of variants, which with their specific features will meet the various requirements of customers. The new version of Pure and ID. With Buzz Cargo with all-wheel drive, we are opening the doors to the world of electromobility to an even wider range of customers,” says Mirka Cimrová, head of the VW Commercial Vehicles division of Porsche ČR, regarding the news.
Volkswagen ID. Buzz: The New Electric Wave Is Here!
Ah, the Volkswagen ID. Buzz. A name that rolls off the tongue like a corporate tagline for a psychedelic road trip. And now, just when you thought it couldn’t get any more interesting, Volkswagen has announced the entry-level version, the ID. Buzz Pure. And believe it or not, it comes with a price tag that’ll leave you feeling flush—if your bank balance is a million Czech crowns! Yes, kids, this isn’t Monopoly money we’re talking about here.
What’s New in the Electric Playground?
Hold onto your hats, because this electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) is buzzing with innovations! First off, let’s talk horsepower—it boasts a respectable 170 hp, stored snugly between the rear wheels. In case you’re wondering, no, that doesn’t mean you’ll be running on hamster power, although we do love the little furry creatures!
Now, if you think bigger batteries=better range, think again. Volkswagen kept it lean with a 59 kWh battery, promising a range of about 330 kilometers. Oh, and charging it up to a whopping 165 kW feels about as fast as my nan playing bingo!
Standard Features That Won’t Drive You Mad
So what do you get for your million crowns? Pretty decent stuff, actually. The ID. Buzz Pure comes standard with automatic air conditioning—because who wants to sweat like it’s a sauna on wheels?—and folding tables for rear passengers. Perfect for when your kids decide they’re talented artists… with an entire pen set! And let’s not forget the LED lights, which are shinier than your last blind date’s personality.
It’s like Volkswagen threw a giant party for all the car features, and everyone got invited—except a V8 engine, apparently.
Say Hello to Utility with a Twist
If you think it can’t get any cooler, the commercial version just made a grand entrance. The new all-wheel-drive variant packs a punch with not one, but TWO electric motors, totaling up to 340 horsepower. That’s right, folks. You can choose between a two or three-seater, and if you fancy bringing along your trailer, you’re in luck! This electric van can lug up to 1.8 tons behind it. Just think about it: your groceries, your hobbies, and even that oddly-shaped garden gnome you’ve been meaning to return.
What About the Price?
With a starting point of CZK 1,099,000 for the commercial version, it certainly sits on the higher end of the fun spectrum. But hey, who said practicality can’t be a little luxe?
Conclusion: A Buzzing Future Awaits!
“Just like the traditional Transporter, the electric ID. Buzz is gradually growing into a branched family,” says Mirka Cimrová, the head honcho for VW Commercial Vehicles at Porsche ČR. An intriguing aspect of the ID. Buzz Pure is its distinctive features tailored to cost-conscious consumers.
