Volgograd Refinery – after the arrival of drones, the plant will stop part of the production

At the Lukoil oil refinery in Volgograd, where drones flew in on the night of February 3, part of the production cycle will be stopped. About it writes Russian Kommersant citing sources.

According to Russian media, they decided to shorten the production cycle in order to eliminate damage. It is indicated that the Volgograd Refinery (LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka) is the largest producer of petroleum products in the Southern Federal District. The plant’s capacity is 14.8 million tons.

Let us remind you that on February 3, at regarding five o’clock in the morning, a large-scale fire broke out at a refinery in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd. It was reported that on an area of ​​300 sq. m oil products are burning, there were no previous deaths or injuries.

According to media reports, the fire at the oil refinery was started by drones of the Security Service of Ukraine. Two drones hit a crude oil processing plant. Without it, the plant must lose a significant part of its production capacity.
