“The song resulting from the collaboration between Alberto Fortis, Oliver Lapio and Andrea Mati will be released on October 24th, the theme is to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s”.
A song for Alzheimer’s is the new work featuring the music of Oliver Lapio from Pistoia. The title is significant “Ricordo Amore”. The song was recorded by Alberto Fortis and Oliver Lapio with music by Oliver Lapio and lyrics by Andrea Mati. The song is dedicated to people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. This work sees three great artistic sensibilities cooperate, united by human and social closeness towards the difficulties of these people and their families.
This artistic voice to raise awareness will be released on October 24th and will be titled “Ricordo Amore”. It will be available on all online platforms. The song was born from the acquaintance that the authors, Andrea Mati in particular, had with people in the initial phase of the disease. From this meeting a strong sensitivity towards the suffering of patients was born.
In fact, the lyrics and music bear witness to the reaction of a person who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and who makes a great effort, with his memory, to remember the past. He does this so as not to let the most beautiful things experienced disappear in the fog of illness. What emerges clearly in the patient’s mind are the great values experienced: love, respect, moments of peace in the family, flavours, nature, the great affection for animals as life companions. In that dramatic moment, in which the protagonist realizes that everything will vanish soon, he remembers everything that is truly precious. It focuses on feelings, returning to spirituality by focusing on what cannot be bought.
“From the great friendship with Oliver, and today also with Andrea, a particularly successful song was born both in the melodic writing and in the strength of the words that touched me. – says Alberto Fortis – it fascinates me because I also felt it was close to an R&B Soul / gospel contamination which have always been part of my writing and my musical journey. I tried to include that black component that comes from my musical experiences abroad with many big names in black fusion from Los Angeles and New York.” The three artists would also like to send a special thank you to Franco Poggiali of ArteStudio53 where they recorded the song, remembering in him a collaborator/friend to whom they have been linked for years now, not only through work relationships.
Alberto Fortis is an Italian singer-songwriter, writer and poet. An eclectic musician and multi-instrumentalist, Fortis is considered one of the most important exponents of Italian songwriting.
