In this regard, the Director of the Community Police, Brigadier General Ghaleb Al-Attiyah, stressed that throwing newborn babies in the streets is completely unacceptable.

Al-Attiyah said in an exclusive interview with (Al-Mada) that “the cases of throwing children on the roads or leaving them in hospitals or abandoned homes, this is totally unacceptable, and indicates an incorrect culture.”

He added that “the community police organized campaigns to reduce this phenomenon and raise awareness of its dangers,” explaining that “the law allowed taking these children to the hospital and providing them with treatment.”

Al-Attiyah pointed out, “There are families who have previously booked to adopt the children who are found, and through the judiciary they authorize and give these children to them for adoption.”

For his part, the social researcher, Muhammad al-Mawla, attributed these cases to the lack of culture, the economic situation, and the social situation.

Al-Mawla said in an exclusive interview with (Al-Mada) that “these individual personal behaviors and deeds cannot be generalized to the politics of society that is regulated by the clan rhythm, and such actions that will not deviate from the level of individualism are not allowed.”

He added, “Such actions may result from family problems, illegal relationships, and the lack of social religious awareness, and they are ultimately unacceptable.”

Al-Mawla pointed out that “the culture, the economic situation, and the social situation also cast a shadow over these outcomes, but these abnormal behaviors exist in any society, but they remain within the framework of the personality.”

In addition, a member of the media medical team, Ruba Falah, confirmed that the Ministry is not responsible for sheltering these children.

Falah said in an exclusive interview with (Al-Mada) that “such cases, when they come to government hospitals, provide them with the necessary health care, but the Ministry is not responsible for sheltering them.”

She added that “these people, whatever their names are, the Ministry is obligated to provide them with health care,” noting that “this issue is shared with other parties, as they are found by the Ministry of Interior or another party.”

In recent years, the phenomenon of throwing newborn babies into garbage dumps and near hospitals has increased for several reasons, without a real deterrent to this phenomenon.
