Today, Monday, the Minister of Migration and Displaced Persons, Mrs. Evan Faiq Jabro, participated in a workshop held by the Ministry in cooperation and coordination with the College of Law at the American University in the center of the capital, Baghdad, entitled “Illegal Immigration”, in the presence of the Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Mr. Georgy Jegauri, and the President of the Fund Housing in the United Nations, Mrs. Rita Columbia, a number of representatives of international organizations, and a number of students.

In her speech during the workshop, Ms. Jabro stressed that the Ministry can serve immigrants, especially young people, to reduce illegal immigration and its negative risks through awareness programs and holding conferences, calling at the same time for a major joint national campaign by the Ministry of Immigration, government institutions, universities and international organizations to reduce and limit this phenomenon.
