On Saturday, the Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, announced the continuation of free entry for Gulf nationals to Iraq, even following the end of the 25th Gulf Championship, which is currently being held in Basra.

The media office of the governor of Basra stated in a statement that “the directive of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, which includes the entry of the Gulf brothers without a visa, continues to be in effect until following the Gulf 25 and until further notice.”

Earlier today, Saturday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani, said that “the facilities that accompanied the tournament on the borders will continue beyond that.”

This came during his holding a luncheon, on the banks of the Tigris River in the capital, Baghdad, in honor of the delegation of the Gulf football federations participating in the Gulf of Basra 25, a number of football stars in the sister Gulf countries, and a group of Gulf media professionals.
