At the Vöcklabruck District Fire Brigade Day in the Lenzing Cultural Center, district fire brigade commander Wolfgang Hufnagl was re-elected for the next five years with 92 percent of the vote.
The old and new district commanders gave a review of the past year in the presence of State Governor Thomas Stelzer and District Governor Johannes Beer. The fire brigades in the district carried out 1,362 fire operations and 4,667 technical operations. During these 6,029 total operations, 175 people and 106 animals were rescued. A total of 515 comrades were trained in the fire service courses. In performance tests, 1,754 performance badges were handed out, and in the various state competitions, the comrades won 324 performance badges. 944 youth groups and 669 active groups took part in the competitions in the district.
