Vladimir Putin set four tasks: the target is not only the Baltic countries

There were similar messages from the Ukrainian side before.

In October, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Russia was considering freezing the war against Ukraine in order to rebuild its military potential and launch a war against the Baltic states within the next five years.

“As always, I will be honest with you. Russia is currently considering various scenarios for the coming years. One of them is particularly dangerous. If there is any pause in this aggression against Ukraine – any freezing of the situation – a new critical moment will occur,” he said.

If Russia manages to regroup its forces during this pause, it would be dangerous for the Baltic countries.

“Besides Ukraine, it is definitely the Baltic countries and definitely the countries where Russia is present [kariniai] contingents. This is accurate information from our intelligence service,” stated V. Zelenskis.
