Russian boxer Vladimir Nikitin, who won a prize at the 2016 Olympic Games, was detained and arrested in the city of Syktyvkar on charges of extorting an amount of 300 thousand rubles. This was reported in the press service of the Syktyvkar City Court.

“Vladimir Nikitin was detained and arrested in Syktyvkar in a criminal case of extortion of 300 thousand rubles,” – reports press service. They added that the court determined that Nikitin will be in custody until February 23, 2024. The criminal case is being processed by the Investigative Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Komi Republic, the court concluded.
