Vivo Y55s 5G phone launched globally with new camera and smaller battery

A vivo launched the Y55s cell phone globally this Saturday (21) without many differences compared to the model announced by the brand in 2021. That is, it is a smartphone that now arrives to fight in the international market within the intermediary segment

We recently reported the alleged launch date of the X90 and X90 Pro models. This time, the announced device is a little more modest, as well as the most robust line, it has a chip MediaTek Dimensitydespite being the 700 instead of 9200 as it happens at the top of the line.

Among the differences compared to the 2021 Y55s, this one has a 5,000mAh battery, a smaller capacity than its brother’s 6,000mAh. Another difference is in the part of the available variants, since this model does not have a version with 8GB of RAM. It comes with an 18W power charging source.

Another change is in the camera part, although it follows with a 50MP main lens. The auxiliary lenses, in turn, have a 2MP macro, in addition to the depth sensor that also has 2MP. Finally, the front camera for selfies is capable of shooting at 8MP.

The 4GB/128GB version will be sold for NTD 7.990 (BRL 1,371 in direct conversion). As for the variant with 6GB/128GB, the value is NTD 8.490 (R$ 1.427).
