Vivo X80 and X80 Pro launched in global markets (specs)

Vivo launched its flagship smartphones X80 and X80 Pro in China last month. The company has now launched its new high-end smartphones in the global market. Smartphones are available in Malaysia starting today. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is expected to launch Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro in India on May 18.

The Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, while the X80 has a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. Both phones support 80W fast charging and feature a 32MP selfie camera.

Vivo X80 Pro features a 6.78-inch Quad HD + AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels.
The screen offers a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone runs Android 12 on top of the company’s OriginOS layer.
As mentioned earlier, the Vivo X80 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with two storage options – 256 GB and 512 GB.
The Vivo X80 Pro Dual SIM phone features a quad rear camera powered by Zeiss optics. The smartphone camera consists of a 50MP main camera with the first Samsung GNV sensor, a 48MP wide angle, a 12MP 50mm 2X photo and an 8MP 5X telephoto camera.
The front end is home to a 32MP selfie camera. Vivo X80 Pro also comes with the company’s custom V1+ chip which claims to deliver better and bright images in low-light conditions.
Vivo X80 Pro comes with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an IP68 rating which makes it dust and water resistant. The smartphone has a 4700mAh battery with 80W fast charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W wireless reverse charging support.

Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip, the smartphone features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1800 x 2400 pixels. The smartphone packs up to 12GB of RAM and comes in three storage options – 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
Vivo X80 runs Android 12 with the company’s customization layer. The smartphone features a triple rear camera consisting of a 50MP main camera with the first Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor, a 12MP wide-angle camera and a 12MP 50mm 2X portrait camera. There is also a 32MP front camera for selfie lovers.
Vivo X80 comes with a fingerprint sensor backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
