Vivo will also have its folding clamshell smartphone, the Vivo X Flip, the first leaks of which are coming

The Vivo brand recently announced the release in certain markets of its folding smartphone model, the Vivo X Fold then the Vivo X Fold+, which presents itself as a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4, but the Galaxy Z Flip4 will certainly have a lot to do also facing the next Vivo X Flip which takes up the principle of the valve and whose first rumors are starting to be heard with a visual as a bonus.

If we thought that 2022 was going to be the year of folding smartphones, in the end it will most certainly be more for 2023 when almost all brands will have their flexible models that fold in one direction or another. Thus, Oppo has just announced the Find N2 and Find N2 Flip and recently Vivo launched its first folding smartphone model, the Vivo X Fold in early 2022 and more recently to take advantage of an event to announce an evolution with the Vivo X Fold+. Unfortunately, these models are only available in China. Hopefully the next one will be different. Indeed, we know that Vivo is working on a clamshell model which would directly compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4the Motorola Razr 2022the Huawei P50 Pocket and soon the Oppo Find N2 Flip.

The first rumors regarding the Vivo X Flip

At the moment, technical information regarding the Vivo X Flip is slim. Indeed, a priori, it will be animated by the chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 rather than the recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This is a processor that has been integrated into several devices and seems to give full satisfaction both in terms of performance and power consumption to ensure such long battery life as possible while maintaining a smooth and enjoyable experience.
The other piece of information comes from tipster Digital Chat Station, which has a particularly remarkable track record. He thinks he knows the diagram of organization of the photo sensors in relation to the external screen which would be on the Vivo X Flip. You can see a fairly wide circle Who is here to integrate the lenses of the different photo sensors. The flash would be outside this circle. Just below and occupying the entire width of the device, there would be theexternal screen whose exact dimensions are not known, but which seems quite large judging by the size of the device.
The organization is different from the competition where Samsung has chosen to have the screen and the sensors side by side, Motorola has preferred to put them one above the other while the Oppo Find N2 Flip offers a screen in the direction of the height, next to the sensors.

Note thata version without an external screen would also be studied by the brand, but it might only be test models, because it is true that without it, the interest of having a flip phone is less useful, because it would be necessary to open the device at each notification which would make its less ergonomic use than with a display surface on the outside offering the possibility of looking at the notification and interacting with it, without having to deploy the internal screen.
