Vivo has just presented its new V series smartphone in Europe. The V23 5G can change color in the sun and has a dual selfie camera system.
Feeling of start of the year in Asia, the Vivo V23 5G is coming to Europe. A newcomer to the manufacturer’s V series, this smartphone surprises at first glance thanks to its chameleon-like approach. The Vivo V23 5G can change color when exposed to sunlight, thanks to a technology specially developed by the manufacturer.
Two years of development were needed to offer a surface that reacts to UV light; going from warm shades (gold) to cold tones (turquoise) “in a few moments”. The builder adds an anti-reflective fluorite finish for a textured, soft-touch finish. However, it is resistant to fingerprints. The flat chassis of the V23 5G is made of metal and the device is relatively compact (157.2 x 72.4 x 7.4/7.6 mm for regarding 180 g).
Vivo targets young people with its V23 5G
In addition to its chameleon aspect, the other particularity of this Vivo V23 5G is to carry a dual front camera. The system consists of a 50 megapixel sensor with autofocus and an 8 megapixel ultra wide-angle. Vivo adds a dual flash function to position its device as a selfie specialist.
An approach confirmed by the presence of a mode Extreme night vision to improve low-light images from the front camera. At the same time, the ultra-wide-angle lens is responsible for taking group selfies, especially at night via a mode Super Wide Angle Night Portrait.
The back of the smartphone is not to be outdone and the V23 wants to convince as a photophone. It can count on a triple photo module including a main sensor of 64 megapixels. This wide-angle module opening at f / 1.9 is supported by an ultra wide-angle of 8 megapixels (f / 2.2, 120 °) and a macro lens of 2 megapixels (f / 2.4). Many modes and effects are offered (bokeh, background blur, party portrait, multi-style portrait, natural portrait, etc.).
For video, the Vivo V23 5g can shoot up to 4K at 30 fps both front and rear.

Despite its relatively compact format, the Vivo V23 5G has a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen displaying in Full HD +. HDR10+ compatible, it offers a refresh rate of 90 Hz and has a notch to house the dual front camera.
