Vivo activates 5G in the 3.5 GHz frequency in Feira de Santana (BA) and 11 other cities

Vivo announced this Friday, the 10th, the activation of 5G in the 3.5 GHz frequency in cities with more than 500,000 inhabitants, as determined in the schedule by Gaispi and the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) following the implementation of the fifth generation of mobile networks in all capitals of the country.

The novelty arrives for the municipalities of Feira de Santana (BA), Serra (ES), Vila Velha (ES), Guarulhos (SP), Osasco (SP), Santo André (SP), São Bernardo do Campo (SP), Belford Roxo (RJ), Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ), São Gonçalo (RJ), Niterói (RJ) and Nova Iguaçu (RJ), with initial coverage covering only a few neighborhoods in these locations.

As explained by the operator, users with compatible devices (smartphones and tablets) can enjoy the technology in the cities listed and in selected neighborhoods (see below). Among the benefits of 5G are the user speed experience will be up to ten times faster than 4G and lower connection latency.
