British fashion brand Vivienne Westwood grandly announces,Vivienne Westwood Corset Show (1987year-to-date)It will be unveiled for the first time in Shanghai, China (November 25) and Beijing (to be confirmed).
The opening of this corsage exhibition also coincides with the first anniversary of the opening of Vivienne Westwood flagship stores in Shanghai and Beijing.
This special exhibition will take you to explore the brand’s subversive creation of the bra category from 1987 to the present, reflecting the concept of VW underwear worn outside. This exhibit demonstrates the intrinsic connection between the corset and historical costumes, culture and art. It’s also a long-term source of inspiration for Vivienne and Andreas when they create their collections. We have curated a special retrospective of the best corset collections and key runway looks from the past 35 years. These pieces showcase VW’s originality in corset design, as well as Mr. Andreas Kronthaler’s latest interpretation of this historical garment, some elements of which have been inherited and applied to the brand’s current collection.
To coincide with this exhibition and anniversary celebration, Vivienne Westwood’s official WeChat mini-program specially launched exclusive interactive content, inviting consumers to explore the world of Westwood together and create unique memories. From now on, you can go to the WeChat platform to search for the “Vivienne Westwood Official Account” mini program, immersively explore the classic moments of the brand’s fashion show, complete the interactive experience, and participate in the lucky draw.
To celebrate the opening of the “Vivienne Westwood Corset Exhibition”, Vivienne Westwood also specially launched a set of limited jewelry series with three-dimensional corset pendants as the main element. The source of inspiration for this pendant comes from the classic corset that first appeared in the Harris Tweed collection in the autumn and winter of 1987/88. In 2022, it will be transformed into a unique jewelry pendant. Also included in the jewelery collection is a necklace with this gold-plated bodice charm, a bracelet with gold-plated or pearl chains and the same clip-on earrings. This limited series will be available at Vivienne Westwood flagship stores in Shanghai and Beijing.

Then at the end of the year, it was officially unveiled at the Vivienne Westwood flagship store in Beijing (China Central Place).
The flagship stores of Vivienne Westwood in Shanghai and Beijing have a brand-new international store concept, built with industrial style and sustainable materials, ingeniously integrating the classic elements of the brand, and presenting a unique brand DNA with DIY artistic aesthetics. Among them, the big red interior wall in the Shanghai flagship store symbolizes the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture, and outlines a space that complements and contrasts with Vivienne Westwood’s pioneering design.
