In 2022, Vivendi posted a net loss for the group of 1 billion euros, mainly due to the deconsolidation of Telecom Italia following the record profit of 24 billion euros in 2021 linked to the exit from the scope of activity of Universal Music Group. Adjusted operating profit (EBITA) increased by 35%, to 868 million euros, due to the good performance of Havas and Canal+ as well as the contributions of Universal Music Group (UMG) and Lagardère.
