Older adults live better when they are active and have the opportunity to socialize with people their own age. In Quito, the Vivemás club offers quality experiences to them and their families, maintaining their physical, cognitive and emotional well-being.
This space It has face-to-face and virtual modality. In face-to-face activities, members enjoy facilities designed for them and exercise and movement workshops, group physiotherapy, vital gymnastics, dance therapy, therapeutic Pilates and chair yoga.
In addition, there are cognitive, learning and recreational workshops, creating art, a word laboratory, wellness and music therapy, cognitive stimulation with tablets, singing to live and memory workshop.
In the virtual modality, members can have fun even if it is not possible for them to leave home, through vital gymnastics, therapeutic pilates, chair yoga, joint activation and group physiotherapy. There is also morning conversation, cognitive stimulation, travel and photography, wellness and music therapy, creative writing-memory and books, live art and music, and emotional intelligence.
Club Vivemás applies the Hoffmann method of rehabilitation and prevention, specialized in older people, which focuses on five areas:
