“Vitamin D” in Beelen becomes a listening pleasure

The Villers-Ecalles-Platz in Beelen becomes the scene of a pop night on the Tuesday before Corpus Christi.

Beelen (wie) – “Vitamin D – that’s good for you”: Vitamin D is important for the human body and can be supplied through nutrition or can be formed by people themselves through exposure to the sun. Vitamin D in Beelen, but everyone can also have it administered on Wednesday, June 15, between 9:30 p.m. and 1 a.m. on Villers-Ecalles-Platz – also known as the market square.

At the concert of “Vitamin D” there is a proper music irradiation. Everything live. Many Beeleners still have fond memories of the Rockbusters campaigns from September 2018 and June 2019. But now there is a new band formation and different music. Some of the old band members also belong to the new band. The weather was wonderful at the 2019 appearance and we are hoping for the same temperatures this time. An appearance was already planned for 2020 at the “1100 years of Beelen” anniversary, but Corona thwarted the plan.

Only in German

Andreas Hanhart can say exactly that: “Vitamin D means: hits from and for everyone”. Experienced German-speaking stage musicians have come together to say following numerous interpretations of their favorite songs: “From now on only in German”. It has to do with having fun. Not many cover bands go this route, as it means removing “worn-out” mood guarantors from the program and relying on “there are others out there who share their enthusiasm for this German-language repertoire”. The musicians are sure that they can get their audience to join in. The “D” stands for: “Always on stage or on the instrument. This guarantees an entertaining and professional stage show.”

Singer Astrid Gernet was the frontwoman of the cover and party band “Nightshift” for ten years. In addition, she has been gaining musical experience for more than two decades in various music projects and also as a studio singer. Guitarist and professional musician Andreas “Zappi” Zamojski (almost) only plays what he absolutely loves. Daniel Hermes is considered one of the best “bass players” in the Gütersloh district and has been providing a solid foundation for various band sounds for years. Keyboarder Norbert Fechtelkord and singer Andreas Hanhart are known from their carnival band “Die Landeier”, with which they have won the WDR’s foolish hit parade twice in the band’s 20-year history. And drummer Detlef Duebeler originally comes from the dance floor, where he drummed for years.

D – definitely the best that German-language music has produced: the six musicians have selected a hit mix of German-language rock and pop music from the past decades. There is a “repeat” with the Fanta4, Peter Fox, Falco, Glas Perlenspiel, Nena, Sara Connor, Udo Lindenberg, Klaus Lage or Deichkind. Everything live and with a “vitamin D guarantee”. The group “Twentyseven” will ring in the evening as support act. It also promises the finest music.
